Stuart ex Village Inn and The Prince is the new chef at Rumble Tums. Had a great Sunday lunch there today. Food excellent and priced very reasonable.

I am aware of that but the postings about Stuart starting at RT's were more recent than that, actually they're probably lumped in with the ones about the Prince but I don't fancy cutting and pasting to make a new RT thread so we'll just stick with this fresh one I think!
If anyone wants more views on RT please search for the Prince thread where Lesley announced she's leaving!

Despite a few dodgy reviews it may well be a very nice place with good food, I have never been there because the name puts me off to be perfectly honest. Rumbletums, to me it conjures up the image of a 'greasy spoon'. Sorry, only giving my own opinion and probably everyone will disagree with me.

Believe it or not AR the best place for a post-clubbing breakfast in Birmingham in the early hours when I was younger was a cafe called Mr Egg - did exactly what it said on the tin!
RumbleTums to me conjures up somewhere to get rid of your 'rumbly tumbly' to quote Winnie the Pooh!

Their breakfasts are a rare treat for me but I occasionally meet friends there for coffee and a cake. Not yet tried the evening menu but intend to very soon.

3 contrasting reviews, if restaurants are to succeed in these difficult times they must be good in all respects and, above all, consistently good. At least it looks as if they are improving with each review. 8)

Contrasting reviews AR because everyone's tastes and expectations are different.

Why don't you go and try it yourself and give us your thoughts? Hope you can get parked that is, as they are always busy in the mornings when I pass.

They were busy on Sunday when we went, for the first part she was on her own, so we didn't expect the serving to be fast, and of course it depends on how many are in the kitchen, at least you know the food is being cooked fresh! if it landed on the table with in 5 mins of the order taken i'd worry. I think they are doing a good job, good luck to them!
