Since my previous postings where I was looking for a suitable venue to arrange a party for maybe 100/150 people one idea that was suggested to me was the 10 Richter Tavern although the person that mentioned it said that it seems to be closed down, maybe just for the winter. I don't return to Cyprus for another couple of weeks so can't check it out until then, but does anybody know if it is to re-open maybe in the Spring? Thanks in advance for any comments.

I am told by a friend who was a regular user of the tavern that he has closed permanently, he had lots of problems with neighbours.

Not far away is Sids Tavern, on the road from Emba to the Polis Road.
Their food is good and the Quiz on Thursdays is excellent.
I can really recommend it it,
And, it can cater for 100 places with good food.

Sid's gets a thumbs up from me ............ it's our second favourite (after Melitzia, Tala )

Just a little further along the Emba road is the new Epsilon Taverna, who can well cater for for big numbers I think he is also a relative of the guy from Richter 10, he seems to doing well and does typical Cyprus taverna food etc.

He had neighbour problems and having been to a couple of do's there including Paphos Tigers Awards last Summer all he really needed was to install fans/air con and shut the doors. As it was it was too hot inside so folks were outside drinking etc.
