But what I'd really love to know from the numerous financial experts here on CL is this...
In the coming months, once I'm granted Probate / Letters of Administration for an old friend who died back in January (Intestate), I will have his life savings of over £150,000 to send to his next of kin in Hungary.
These are First Cousins, eleven of them (or their children), only ONE rung above the level where HM Treasury nicks the lot!!! Yes, unbelievable that someone who had accumulated that amount of savings, and who lived in a high-rise Council flat, with both parents dead, never married, no kids or brothers / sisters, never thought to spend £60 on making a Will...
So, do you think Currency Fair would make the ideal vehicle with which to transfer funds of this magnitude over to Hungary when the time comes, please? Any advice, tips, or hints will be very much appreciated, thanks!
Cheers- AL
