Pool Filter Sand Change

Can anybody recommend an efficient & reasonable priced company for Pool Filter Sand Change & also has anybody had theirs replaced with Glass Media & is it worthwhile ??
From what I hear nobody really likes carrying out this job, but I guess it must be quite a regular request.
Any idea of expected cost would be appreciated.

We had a quote of over €500 for our 19m communal pool, that was for the 'glass' stuff

My filter medium has been replaced three times in its 12 year life. It is a messy and tedious job, but not difficult.
The last two times I have used glass which seems to give a better result than sand. It is slightly more expensive per bag, but less bags are used.
I seem to recall the price for the glass for 'DIY' for an 8 x 4 pool as around €100

I got quotes in March 2014 of approx €200 for changing sand to glass on an 8 x 4 pool.

Ended up doing it myself glass was €15.00 per bag and I used 5.

Total job took maybe 4 hours and I saved €125 which from my point of view made it worth DIY.

Ended up having job done today by H2owen. Absolutely brilliant although very difficult to do as sand was compacted & some came out in big lumps.
Guys done a super job completely removing all old sand. Inside filter casing was like new & whole job cost €180.00 so I am well pleased & happy to recommend them.
I had booked them to replace my 300watt pool bulb for a 6watt LED anyway, which is how I got the sand changed so quickly as added on to original visit. The LED Bulb €79 supplied & fitted, against two other quotes both in excess of €300.00 just for the bulb.
