What is the frequency of backwashing? Once a week? Once a month?

Obviously we do not want to lose too much water by doing this too frequent.

Your Backwashing, does depend on how many people use your Swimming Pool per day. If say it is only you and your partner then you will get away with every two weeks but if used buy a lot of people then once a week is best.

Suggest you note the pressure during filtration following a backwash, then only backwash again when the pressure rises by 5 psi.

Hi you should always Backwash your Filter every week,Pressure gauges can be wrong even if you think they are not, By doing Backwashing weekly this also will help control your Cyanuric acid levels.
