I thought that it was 50-50 as each are so determined to win. Still a great race and for an 18 year old to win.

Rule says you need to leave enough space to be overtaken, Rosberg in my opinion did not do this in fact he moved over to not allow this to happen, a racing accident I guess, it made for an interesting race, and a new young hero.

I don't think it does. So why do you see cars moving over to block a possible overtaking move when a car is behind. What it most likely states is that if a car is alongside then you cannot take its space.

They said that this was the rule, personally I do blame the German, they are allowed one move either way, he made more than that and pushed Hamilton off the track causing them both to have an early exit from the race, not good I think, but the race was exciting and not as some say boring, far from it. You are allowed to make ONE move to defend your track position but if the car trying to overtake has a significant potion of his car along side then you must give him space. Rosberg didn't do this, nor did he appear to check his mirror.

IMHO Rosberg was at fault.

The driver of the day was without any doubt, Max Verstappen.

Very good and objective comment about Hamilton. Lauda had the same opinion.

"The team’s non-executive chairman Niki Lauda, a triple world champion himself, blamed Hamilton before going to see the drivers.

“It is stupid, we could’ve won this race,” the Austrian told the BBC. “Lewis is too aggressive. I need to talk to them and hear their explanation and then we will see what happens.”

Rosberg still has a comfortable lead in the championship standings, being 43 points clear of closest rival Hamilton before Sunday’s race.

Mac and Rosberg should not have pushed Hamilton off the track, strange you only saw what Hamilton tried legally to do, Rosberg has done this before and I guess why he should look so sheepish in his interview, not a good loser that man, remember the end of last years F1..I think most real F1 fans know who was to blame yesterday, but lets move on to the next race I say..

Wisely, Mercedes prevented Rosberg and Hamilton from speaking in public this Sunday before the team's own mid-race inquest. When they did appear in front of the media, neither driver said anything particularly incendiary. According to Hamilton, Rosberg made a "mistake" by selecting the wrong engine setting. But detailed analysis of the crash by Sky F1's Anthony Davidson had already revealed as much. For his part, Rosberg says he was "very surprised" by Hamilton's move. But compared to Spa, it was practically a 'no comment'

Rosberg does it again, and again he blames Hamilton, the only person the stewards wanted to see after his latest head burn out was Rosberg.

Toto was not a happy Bunny, but he should pock his finger in Rosbergs ear, all drivers want to win, and thank god this is correct, but Rosberg as a head problem..

Another brillaint win by Hamilton today, a good race too, drop of rain worked well for many lesser F1 teams. good day all around even Andy played his best Tennis today, well done that man!! great match to watch too..

Hamilton looked invincible in Germany yesterday, I see Rossberg was at his best shunting drivers off the track, give him that he is good at it.. :lol:

Hamilton had been on the receiving end of one of Rosberg’s rather unsubtle manoeuvres back in Austria, for which the German was penalised. Rosberg was penalised here too for forcing Verstappen off the track, a mistake which ultimately cost him second place, finishing fourth behind the two Red Bulls.

Rosberg said he was “surprised” by the stewards’ decision to give him a five-second time penalty, but even his Mercedes team did not seem outraged by the verdict.

Only Rosberg feels that way..

F1 engines consist of 6 constituent parts which can be changed up to 6 times during a season. Lewis had problems with his engines earlier in the season and has used up his allotted 6 strikes in some of the parts so was given a 30 place grid penalty. Deciding that if he was going to be back 30 places, Mercedes said "xxxxxxx", we'll put in even more new parts as we can only be at the back of the grid and there is only one back place irrespective of how many places we are penalised.

He did very well to come 3rd, helped a bit by the problems during the early stage of the race, but then, that's racing.

The last ever Italian GP next week as Bernie wants too much dough for the right to hold the race. I think he prefers mid and far east locations as they have more dough and larger audiences to attract advertising revenues.

Why are the drivers penalised, that decisions ruined the qualifying part of the F1, no point in possible wear and tear when he was bog last, it is the manufactures team who should lose those points not the driver, Hamilton was the star again from last to third, an amazing feat, looks like he will be WC again.

I thought a good race, love the Spar track.

Bad day for Hamilton that blow up has probably put pay to his title aspirations, I would not be surprised if he moved teams for next season, it was "probably" down to lady luck but he seems to be having most of the engine problems more than his rival, good race I thought apart from the engine dismantling itself.
