Parking

Postby alan Clark » 13 Mar 2015 18:07

Hi,
We all know how hard it is to park, or try to park at Paphos hospital, it is even harder to park in a disabled parking area when, just anybody parks in those slots, I have a genuine disabled parking badge (belongs to my wife) but the times I try to park in a disabled spot it is always occupied by a a car not displaying a disabled badge. Now my problem is this, I want to complain to the hospital about this, I've gone onto Google and put in Paphos General Hospital a number of items have come up and I've gone into them without finding out anything relevant to what I need, I've gone into the hospital website, every page comes up under construction. Does anyone know who you can complain too.

It's the same story throughout the whole country - lazy ignorant sods who don't give a monkey's and (at the hospitals anyway) no parking attendants to enforce any rules!

I doubt that your compliant would result in any action, but there is no harm in trying.
When we take my FIL who uses a wheelchair we have to park as near as we can to the entrance and get him into the chair.
I then take the car right round the back where it is unusual not to be able to find some spaces. I admit that they are usually as far from the hospital as you can get.

Good Luck. Trev..

Hi,
I know I can do that Trev, that's what I do on most occasions. There must be someone in authority at the hospital who can delegate someone to make sure the disabled parking spots are taken up by ignorant motorists?

I know that is what Should happen Alan, and we too suffer from not even being able to access the Wheelchair ramp at times :(

I never find it hard to park at the hospital there are always places at the rear.

I agree that the blue badge places are abused, but nothing will change until they start clamping.

The bay outside the hospital designated for buses was full of parked cars one day when I passed.

We have to learn to accept that what SHOULD happen and what DOES happen are alien concepts here sadly.

The hospital will never employ a parking warden and anyway I doubt they'd find anyone thick skinned enough to want to subject themselves to the abuse they'd receive.
