If unfortunately you have to use this department be prepared for a long wait..
We have been as outpatients three times in the last month. The appointment card said to attend between 7-30 and 10-30... on all three visits we were there by 8am. Upon arrival at that time you will find it very quiet with only a few people there. You have your name entered on a list to register that you are there waiting..
On the last visit we were number 13, so in our minds we though the wait would not be too long
We were still waiting a 12-30...
They seem to see people in a strange order. After over 3 hours there with the room now full of people I asked what was happening as more then 12 people had been seen. I saw the list and many who were lower down than us had been seen.
I was told not to worry as by 3 o'clock all people would have been seen and everyone would be heading home.
Some visitors waited for almost 4 hrs before asking 'how much longer' ..... They went off to a private clinic.
I think it may be an idea to turn up at the registration desk just before 1pm... at least that way if you are seen before 3pm then you would only be waiting 2 hrs
I must add that the treatment there is first class, and I have no complaints about that..
