Mick the LAW is that if you live in Cyprus more than 183 days a year you Have to pay tax here on your worldly income.
But it is a better deal here. You have a personal allowance of €19,500

It's not just the tax free allowance, it's also the much lower property tax (UK Council Tax), annual road tax. Whilst food and clothing are slightly more expensive than in the UK, the current foreign exchange rate makes this a minor downside.
Fight for what is right!

Why not go and a tax accountant and take professional advice?

Would you still have to pay tax to the UK government on private pension income, though??

If you are a tax resident in Cyprus then any private UK pension is taxed here.
