Paul
when in Cyprus I do a cheats one sometimes.
buy a kilo of good minced beef. brown in pan and then drain off
any liquid or fat that comes out. Chuck in a family sized bottle of
Dolmio extra spicy bolognese sauce and some extra chilli powder
according to taste and simmer over a low heat until cooked. Add a couple of cans of red kidney beans for the last 20 minutes or so, or for a change chuck in a mix of red beans and maybe haricot beans I even use the large butter beans as well. I normally prepare it in the morning and put it on low in my slow cooker then if we are going out for
the day it,s nice and ready for when we get back - just add the beans about half an hour before serving as before.
This tastes so good I often make it in England now instead of doing
the whole thing from scratch.
Hope this helps
