Replacement pool ladder steps

Postby KG » 17 Jul 2015 08:14

One of my pool ladder steps is broken. Frankly I am surprised it lasted 10 years, but that's another story. Has anyone seen good quality replacement steps available in Cyprus, before I import some from the USA? I don't mind good quality plastic steps - just not the flimsy brittle plastic that seems to be the standard fitment.

I'm sure Lloyd AKA Happy in Cyprus would advise as pool safety and accessories are his business!

Whoever is selling a pool ladder for €20 has it seriously under priced. The replacement steps are outrageously priced. You can buy a complete aluminium extending ladder for the price of three steps! However having shopped around, Florida Pools came up with the goods at the best price, only a few Euros more than it would have cost to import them from the USA (after carriage and import duty) so it really wasn't worth the wait and additional hassle, but how they can justify the cost for a bit of flimsy stainless steel sheet and a couple of ounces of plastic, I can't imagine. The plastic ones are even more of a rip off (not a term I use lightly), and disintegrate after a few years.
