I just bought a laptop with wifi and have linked it to my router upto now I have had the router wifi transmition disabled.
I have enabled wpa-psk/wpa2-psk and have also enabled "encription" is this sufficent security for your system ?
The other options my router offers are wep or wpa/wpa2.
My router also warned of checking local laws as to transmittion speed, I selected 108mps( dynamic)

Just checked my settings
Security = WPA2-Personal
Encription type = AES
Security = WPA2-Personal
