Postby b7hgf » 09 Mar 2015 09:08

I have an appointment today at 1pm to see a Rheumatologist @ Paphos General Hospital.I gather I have a fee to pay.How much is it please and where do I pay this.Is it the normal reception window to see a doctor or another reception window. Also where is the Rheumatology clinic in the hospital.Any help will be appreciated.

Do you know the Rheumatlogist's name?

Her clinic is in the Orthopaedic Dept. She was using Dr Metaxas office.

Got on quite well.I was number 10 on the list.Went in at 1410 and came out at 1510.The language was a bit of a barrier but we got there in the end,Very thorough.Lady doctor called Dr GEORGEDEOUS I think that's how it was spelt.Looks like I may have to go to either Limassol or Nicosia for my Retuximab treatment but she thinks eventually I will get it at paphos once they get a few nurses trained up to give it.Brian

Hi,
My wife has been using the Rheumatologist at the General now for a few months and we have found her to be very thorough in her examinations far better than the two private Rheumatologist she has previously used. Her name is Demetria by the way.

Yes she is very good.I would recommend her.She also sent me to see the chest clinic lady doctor as the Methatrexate I was on two year ago left me with pulmonary fibrosis. This is one of the side effects of this methotrexate. This lady chest consultant was also very thorough and after some of the normal GP,S at the hospital it was very reassuring to be treated by the two of them.Pity some of these GP,S don't take a leaf out of their book and show a bit more compassion towards patients. It dont cost anything.Brian

I had to see the GP first and tell him I wanted to see a Rheumatologist. He gives you a slip of paper and then you go and make your appointment.I had to wait aprox 3 months for my appointment with the RHEUMATOLOGIST at Paphos hospital. She practises at Limassol hospital and she comes to Paphos every Monday. She sees only ten patients every Monday. She is very thorough. Not like some of the GP,S at the hospital. If I can help further let me know.Bri.
