The wife and I have now got our S1 forms from the Citizens Centre and have to proceed with the above .We've read Theresa's advice and wondered if anyone had gone through the process recently and also if anyone could suggest the best day and time of day to do it.

I have been checking with various friends who all tell me that their Cyprus Medical Card was issued at the Citizens Service Centre. Do you have your Yellow Slip as I believe you have to have gone through the Immigration process before you can be issued with a Cyprus Medical Card? Suggest you check at Reception and they will direct you to the person who deals with Medical Cards and they will tell you which documents to bring. The Medical Card will then be issued when you have the correct documentation with you.
I think it is a few years since Theresa was the moderator on this forum and at that time you had to go to the General Hospital to register.

When we went through this procedure 2 years ago, we did indeed do it via the CAB where we filled in all the forms and provided the requisite documentation. However the card that you need to take to the General to complete the registration process was delivered by post after a couple of weeks as they have to get approval from UK to take you on board as in the end it is the NHS that will be footing the bill for any treatment.

Hi to you both,
Yes we have our Medical cards, it's the hospital's registration process that we are preparing for.

Hi lion,
Is that because tomorrow is a holiday or is Monday generally a busy day at the General?
