Flu Jabs at Paphos General Hospital

Postby galexinda » 26 Sep 2016 09:47

Paphos General Hospital are now giving Flu vaccinations FREE to people aged over 70.

There is a walk-in Clinic down the corridor to the right of the Registration Desk.

For those under 70, you can get a prescription from your GP and obtain the vaccine from the Hospital Pharmacy, or, buy the vaccine at any Pharmacy (for about 5 Euros) and they will usually administer it for you as well. It is a very small injection, just under the skin.

Additional Info: This was forwarded to me and I posted it 'as is'. I think last year it cost €10 for a private prescription but as I do not partake in this offer am unable to confirm this.

Not all.The only remedy is complete rest for 7 days with plenty of liquid and if available, a massage of the spine & limbs. Follow this & you will feel fine until the next inevitable bout :P

A report from someone who has been to Paphos General Hospital for a flu jab:

FLU JABS - Went to Paphos General Hospital yesterday and found that they have started doing this year's round of Flu Jabs for those that are eligible. To be eligible for the Free Jabs you must be over 65 years old and have a valid Cyprus Medical Card. You will find the room where they are doing this by going down the corridor to the right of the registration desk (You do not need to register for the jabs - just present your medical card to the nurse giving the injections)
