Small op. Recommendations please

Postby Auntyann » 14 Jan 2014 14:46

I need to have a small 'fatty deposit' lump removed from just under the skin, so I am hoping to have the op. carried out by just numbing the area and not have to undergo anaesthesia. Has anyone got any recommendations of any private facility, or medial centre that they have used and that may carry out such procedures.

I had something similar done at the Evangelismos by Dr Aristo Georgiou- very nice man and also a General Surgeon, price was reasonable and no problems afterwards either!

Most of the private hospitals remove Ganglion's and I think the Iasis is the best in town, just my opinion, but I did have a more serious operation done there with no problems. Mine though was removed in the UK Private hospital under general anaesthetic.

Many Doctors say whack them with a heavy book, bible maybe...

Aristo Georgiou removed Mum's ganglion from her wrist joint a couple of times and it just kept coming back -the Bible theory is an old wives' tale!

Thank you for your responses they are much appreciated, however my query was not in connection with a ganglion which some responses refer to, but I thank you anyway.

Had it done some months ago in the doctor's office of Dr. Polydorou. The thing was quite big! Can highly recommend him, very good work, no pain, very good post operational care and reasonable price. Just ask when he is in, before you go.

Dr Polydorou is responsible for alot of the medical clinics that have set up in the villages/towns ie Chlorakas, Coral Bay etc, he also works out of the Evangelismos!
