We watched Strictly, the results on expat tv on triotech box fine, no buffering whatsoever, but when we changed to ITV for the xfactor results, it was unwatchable. Then tried watching ITV on NTV but that buffered constantly. Tried again on expat tv, but would not connect. Tried switching off both the modem and clearstream box at the mains, but just would not connect. Gave up after half an hour and will watch on catchup today.

It is a fact of life that the more people that watch TV over the internet, the less bandwidth there is for everyone.
Last night there were two programmes of interest on at the same time. Strictly come dancing and the F1 race.. Hence a lot of people were watching TV.

Which accounts for when I come to Cyprus 6 times a year, when I insist on watching live UK TV, the reception on my Mag box gets better after 11pm Cyprus time.

Wife watched X-Factor results the other night with no intereference whatsoever. I am gobsmacked how stable Sensible Satellite's platform is. Almost fair to say no break-up or pixcellation at any point over the past two months. It's just like watching Sky, interference-free in the UK. The best and most stable platform ever...and leaves NTV in the shade. Is about one third cheaper too :-bd

I'm getting exactly the same quality and level of service from SOS Computers. But you wouldn't catch me watching Xfactor! 8)

It comes to something when you have to admit that it's about the best of the dross which is broadcast on Saturday and Sunday evenings. Strictly isn't for us I'm afraid.

Sadly we are getting a lot of freezing on our Mag box, but I think it is a shortage of Broadband quality in the evenings..
