Is this the one opened by Hugo who had the tapas place in Chlorakas?

Sorry not sure who is running it !

Initially we saw the sign up at the shop for weeks calling itself Asian Bites but now it has changed to the It's India Sign.

May try it out tonight and will report back.

Hi again

Popped in to It's India last night and it was quite busy, we had to wait half an hour for our order so toddled off for another beer and went back and our meal was waiting for us.

We had 2 main meals, 1 pilau rice and 2 naans with poppadoms thrown in which cost €25. All in all, a nice meal with reasonable portion sizes.

It would seem that this is a new enterprise run by a family from Asian descent, the owner served us and his wife and two young children, a boy and a girl were in attendance with some other family members with it being the first night. There also appeared to be two young chefs in the kitchen.

That confirms it's not Hugo then.

Sounds promising and good value, thanks for posting!

We also tried it last night, and thought the food was great. We had a lamb rogan josh, chicken tikka massala, bombay aloo, pilau rice and a nan bread, and loved it all. Portion sizes were really good, theres enough for another meal for one of us tonight. We'll definitely use it again.

Chicken dishes are 7.95, lamb dishes 9.50, rice from 2.50, bread 2.00, vegetables are 5.30 (but these are the same size as main courses not a side dish. Poppadoms and dips were free.
