This is what happens after a glorious summer in Cyprus when you go for a visit back to UK in Winter:

My half day off work and very warm so off we headed to Curium Beach late in the afternoon (around 4pm) but rather than go down to where the restaurants are, we have a special place we like to go when the tide (especially for Jim ) is not right up to the pebbly area. When the tide is low at this particular spot, it leaves lots of space for sunloungers, beach mats, umbrellas and space to play.

It had scales by the time we left, courtesy of the pebbles you can see there at the beach - but by then I'd already packed my camera away at the bottom of the beach bag.

Went to the communal pool yesterday afternoon and it was lovely - no kids! I love September

Sadly, ours are no longer with us. We brought 2 with us when we came here permanently in 2004 but Bartholomew, our last one, died 2 summers ago.

We're not having any more animals now - we still have 2 dogs but it's looking more and more like we will have to head back to UK fairly soon as my Dad really isn't making any headway with his illness and there's only my Mum to look after him.

The Parkinson's seems to have got hold of him very quickly and now he's reliant upon a walking frame with wheels and some days only the wheelchair will do... It's a difficult decision.
