Thanks in advance

Hi Mike,

I have a Terios (new model) which has a 12v power supply socket in the boot. Unlike my previous car this is a switched supply and goes dead when the ignition is off. I want to see if the socket can be made permanently live, so I can run things like cool boxes when the car is unattended.

Not a good idea unless you can find a battery with much more capacity (bigger)
Today's batteries are tiny compared to years ago and are only used to operate the starter motor for a very short period.
When the engine is running, power is provided by the modern high efficiency generator.
No good coming back to your car after 4 - 5 hours and finding a flat battery.
Coolers use quite a lot of battery power.

I too am looking for something similar

We have a solar charger which we have to leave on the front screen and put the cables under the bonnet and connect to the battery.
I would like to make the 'cig lighter' a permanent live so we could keep the cables and charger inside the car

Erodos is very good, he is on the road from Tremithousa to Petridia opposite the scrapyards.

I was there the other day and they sorted the problem we had on the car electrics.

If you turn down the side of the Mona Lisa restaurant on the Mesogi Road, turn right at the junction and it is the second building on the left past the Electrical Works.

As Jim B said or from Tala, turn left just after the Pitstop kiosk, go past Sids Taverna and take the left turn almost opposite the Kiosk. At the end of this road turn left and he's up on the left hand side.
