No Claims Discount

Does anyone know what is the maxmium no claims discount on a car you can get and how many years it takes to get it in Cyprus?

Also if you have a claim and your NCD is protected does it affect the discount you have earned and if so by how much?

I just wanted to check because our Insurers say 55% is the maximum NCD in Cyprus.
