IT help please.

I have laptop which has windows 8.1 on.

I use IGhome as my homepage where I have links for the BBC, and some newspapers etc.

Usually I might have a couple of things open at the same time, but have noticed over the last few weeks when I say load the home page and then click on say BBC news site, the original ighome page just keeps spinning on the chrome tab in the left hand corner, driving me nuts. Anyone help with this?
