Internet on and off

Is anyone else having problems with the internet going on an off frequently this morning. The breaks last about a minute or so.

Yes Trev mine has had the odd glitch over the last few hours, I am on Cyta too, my guess is all have the odd problems from time to time, it's this darned heat!!

Try this feel the top of your Cyta router. if it's very hot unplug the unit for fifteen minutes, works for me as mine gets hot enough to cook a fried egg...

It may be to do with the heat. All has been OK since we put the aircon on.

Yes this could be the case Trev, my last router a Thompson burnt out a few weeks ago, had to get a free replacement from Cyta same model and second hand, it was filthy!. I was hoping for a newer model, no luck on that and I did ask nicely, next time maybe more aggressive.

We have had the engineers here recently and some rewiring has been done. It may be that the problems are elsewhere in the system.
However it is running just fine at the moment.

Someone was selling one of the new Cyta modems at the Duckpond. I thought they were the property of Cyta.

That was my belief as well. I know when we finished with Cyta, I had to take the modem back to get my deposit returned.

Lion it does not say on my router who owns it just the manufactures name Thompson, I never use any market for buying, not a car booter prefer to get it from new from a reputable supplier personally, although looking underneath the router there is a sticker that give you the pass key, but that it.

This one stays a lot cooler than the fry and egg on it last one.

I bought one from the auction.

Then took it to Cyta and got it exchanged. I now have a spare one just in case mine fails.

At one time, with the grey modems, I needed mine replaced nearly every 3 months, and it usually went faulty on a weekend.

Since getting the new style white ones, all I have ever had to do it switch it on and off every couple of months.
