We were suffering with low speeds this morning (not Primetel). But I turned all the routers off at the main socket and restarted them. We are now back to a ping of 47 and a speed of 6.7 with the mag box running
Cyta has also been very erratic for a last few days, I posted this in the PC section, I did email Cyta they got back to me the usual excuses, what I did was reset both my router and my Mag box, all was OK then, they did say they knew I was using an IPYV unit even to what channel it was on, be warned big brother is watching you.

I called Primetel. There was a 6 minute queue so they were to call back, which they did, but didn't give me enough time to pick up the phone before they rang off !!
The 6 minute queue would indicate you are not the only one with a problem. Just tested my Primetel rate at 1557 and Ping 30..Download 9.35 and up load 0.56..............Paying for 8 speed.Over 9 has been a regular speed for the last two months. Emba area if that helps.
I gave up watching TV last night via my android box and watched via laptop. I'm with Primetel and in Ktima. I hope things improve today else I shall be ringing them too...!
I was having problems with Cyta, I did a reset on my Thompson (power off then on again) router and that did the trick, if you haven't tried this I recommend you do, but it will not answer why this is happening with Cyta equipment, that Primtel also use this..
we are not far from Jim and ours has been really slow and cutting off. i too have reset the mag box and the modem and even put the cable in a different port. it still keeps happening. i just assumed it was something to do with the upgrade.
Received a call from Primetel today (Thurs) who said they had had a problem but that everything should be back to normal. Was it? he said. Yes, I answered.
