No BBC?

Postby J B » 04 Jun 2016 09:43

Morning
Just arrived in Tala
Internet (Holitec) working fine
BUT
I can't get any of the following websites
BBC
Sporting Life
StokeCity
(some of my favourites!)

with BBC, I type in .co.uk and it changes it to .com (it always does that when I'm here) but then says unavailable
Just tried it with Internet Explorer and it flashed up about Mo Ali for a second then said 'unavailable'

Anyone else having problems??

Most odd
Cache cleared etc
Won't load on 4 different browsers.

Maybe we'd better go shopping instead!!!!!

Curiouser and curiouser

About 15 minutes ago, my PC said it was 17.30 .......... now it says it's 14.45

It is obviously getting it's info from t'internet as I haven't altered anything since I left the UK yesterday.

Your problems are must probably connected with your computer's internal CMOS battery running low. It certainly affects the displayed tine.
These batteries are cheap to buy and simple to replace.
Goggle internal computer battery and there are full instructions available on how to replace it.
Good luck!

It's a new PC!
It's not losing time, just can't decide which 'timezone' it's in when set to 'auto' - I've reset it back to UK (non-auto) and that's fine.
Still having problems with some websites.

All sorted now - it turns out that our router had somehow (  ) been reset and lost all it's (DNS) settings

Thanks to Ian @ Holitec for his time and advice.
