Hi All

I am looking for recommendations for having my 8m x 4 m pool liner replaced . Also would it be possible to lower the floor of the pool by 10 cm when they re line the pool just so my toes don't hit the bottom of the pool :-)

thanks all

yes it is possible, although i would expect quite an investment, so best to get quotes once existing liner is removed and contractors can check out existing build.

For liner, try Demis Bordianu

Correct Geoff, that will be a major investment, for in order to scoop 10cm out of the bottom of the pool you are compromising the structural integrity of the concrete structure at it's most critical point, laced as it is with rebar. For 10cm it just won't be worth it.

On my house the contract reads 'Reinforced concrete structure, walls Y10/200 C30 20cm, base Y10/200 C30 25cm' but a few years back i asked about adding concrete steps into the corner, and, the developer told me 'The pool floor is made of perlite which is a light weight mixture. Adding concrete steps will require additional support/foundation.' ... so i guess it all depends !

When it comes to replacing any pool liner the general rule of thumb is to get exactly what is in your pool now. There may be situation when your pool liner may have leak which can be due to filtration equipment or plumbing lines which should be quickly managed by some professional plumber or pool installers. I got mine from professional as there were no pool installers were available then. :|
