Keving

You editing your post makes no difference, I don't understand what you are trying to imply. If anyone else knows, would you please be kind enough to enlighten me.

Jackie

The only way a post may be edited after a forum member has posted and submitted it is either by:
a) the original poster going back to "edit" or "amend" their own posting or,
b) an Admin member adding their own Edit to a forum members posting....

It's not too difficult to work out what's happened here ;)

Maybe you are just an optimist! What money markets want is definite information. While uncertainty exists not just in the UK, but also in various parts of the world, the currency markets and the exchange rate for sterling will probably continue to be volatile.

Firefly,
Well it wasn't me, as the added words completely changed the tone of my posting, turning a pro brexit stance into a pro remain stance. So I suggest you look in the direction of those strongly pro remainers with the capability of amending posts. Or maybe we have just been hacked.

Surely Jim as Site Owner must be able to find out what's happened.?
I'm quite surprised he hasn't already commented.
After all it's not good if members' posts can be sabotaged surely?

arvark

I think I know who it was, and so do they. How does the word 'posts' suddenly become 'roasts', childish to say the least.

Jackie, the edit you are referring to regarding your own comment re "posts" changed to "roasts" was done by keving as a joke when using the Quote option on the forum.

explodingaardvark's comment was changed within his original post - not quoted or even re-posted. It doesn't even show the post was edited.

Again I reiterate, there are only 2 ways that can happen....

1) aardvark changed it himself - and then completely forgot he did it :-?
2) an Admin member or Moderator did it.

My vote goes for 2nd option ;)

Joke or not, I do not think that anyone should tamper with other member's posts. That said, I still fail to see what's funny about it. I'm pretty sure Keving wouldn't be too happy if anyone dared to tamper with or alter his posts.

Jackie

Jackie hello if you go to section 5 of our membership terms that we all agreed to and we all should have read, it clearly says what we can and cannot do as admin.

If you edit a post yourself, it says 'edited' at the bottom, just like this one will do in a minute.

If a hacker and/or admin/mods do it, it shows nothing (apart from sometimes the person doing it changes the font style and/or colour)

Edit - actually, till someone else posts again, it won't say 'edited', sorry

Edit 2 - here we go ....
