Bank of Cyprus UK Online Banking Access

Postby clive of payia » 15 Jun 2016 14:50

Just tried to access my BoC UK account online and find that I get the message, "There is a problem with this websites Security Certificate" and it tells to that somebody may be interfering with it and I should leave immediately.

Now, had notification from BoC Uk the other day of them undertaking an upgrade so that we can use our mobile phones to verify transactions instead of Digipasses.

Anyone else got this problem? I phone good old helpful Customer Service who advised to change my Browser, I am Win 10, Microsoft Edge and Kerpaski for bank security.

Any got a solution for the bank certainly haven't. Why I asked them would you do software upgrade on a weekday - no answer.

Thanks in advance.

I've been using it without any problems over the last few days with both my old username/pword and my new ones - best thing is to call them.

An important thing to do is to check that your PC's TIME is correct! If it is wrong by more than a few minutes this can cause security certificate issues with online banking websites.

I've just logged on to my BoC account from UK with no problem - not getting any messages.

Fix it. You need Goole Chrome to make it work. Some very poor IT installation here.

That's what I use so probably why I'm not having problems!

You are probably trying to get to the BOCUK log in page using an old shortcut. Do another search on Google or Bing to get to the log in page and save that as your shortcut instead of the old on. Once you are at the log in page put in the your old user identity number with the log in number you got from BOCUK via their messaging service. You will then be prompted to change your PIN. Do so and everything thereafter should work as previously except if you are making an on-line payment you will no longer use the otp dongle as you will receive a separate authorisation code for each transaction via your mobile connected to your account.
