Kodi or Mag

Postby chaddlad » 29 Aug 2016 09:15

Hi All

I have just been over to my villa and i use kodi for tv films etc but i was a unimpressed with the kodi filmon picture, and for long term i would prefer quality could the people that use the mag system give us an idea of picture quality reliability and service providers they have i am thinking of going this way i am quite happy to pay a subscriber to get quality.

Please feel free to pm with their provider please so i can do some research

TIA

The magbox will give you great picture quality . I still have one but rarely use it now .

However as you appear to now be back in the UK it might be worth trying a Nowtv box and side loading the filmon app , the quility is amazing , best picture I have seen .

I'm running the latest kodi, I'm very well up on kodi, I'm looking to see the people that live over in Cyprus have a better image than the filmon on different devices.

I am arriving in Cyprus on Wednesday and bringing out an Amazon Fire stick which has had Kodi and Modpro ( think that is how it is spelt ) added to it. Works fine in the UK so I am curious to see how it performs in Cyprus. My download speed may be an issue as 8mb is the alleged minimum requirement and I have 6mb.
Will give a review at a later date.

We have the Amazon stick and box in Cyprus and they work fine, just wanted a more crisper image but we never have any trouble with the same speed that you have.

ANSWERING the question. :)

I've had both systems have to say the Mag's are king, I have two Mags and two different servers, both excellent, no messing about either, you have to pay of course but for a year's TV a bargain for both...EPG is like Sky's with catch up too..

Those just visiting Cyprus these units will also work in the UK all you need is the Internet, just plug them in, full Sky package at a fraction of the cost. Then when you are out here do the same.
