A day off - a trip to Pissouri Bay for a swim & lunch

Well, we did actually have something to do in Pissouri this morning so it was a good excuse to revisit the beach and later we met up with friends for a spot of lunch at the Artemis Restaurant.















The sea was very chilly at 11:00hrs and the beach shelves quite steeply so you end up in deep water very quickly, probably not the best bathing area for non-swimmers. Lunch itself was very nice and made even more so by the ambient surroundings and the overhead bunches of grapes wherever you looked.

Yes, right on the corner where you either go up the hill towards the village or the other way takes you out past Hylatio hotel/apts and back past the Ancient Water Dang towards the highway.

I do have a dedicated Facebook page for my Cyprus pictures but all my photos are on my flickr account, which you can access by clicking through pretty much any of the photos I've posted on CL, or the signature link at the bottom of my posts.

I hate Instagram - I can't see why anyone would wish to capture a shot using the best digital technology there is, only to display it looking like we've gone back to the 1970s and beyond Don't get me wrong, I loved the 1970s but I want my photos to look like they did when I took them.

I'm not a fan of photo manipulation or changing colours in programmes such as photoshop, instagram etc... I can live with some of the black & white's where they leave a splash of colour but I prefer "real life" photos myself.

Love pissouri and your pics really capture the atmosphere. Is the gigantic villa that dominates the bay finished yet?

We're both trying to remember, Brenda.... we don't think it's finished entirely but couldn't be 100% certain. All we know is we wouldn't want to be the window cleaner!
