Google Cyprus

Postby John Baylis » 19 Jan 2014 09:43

On Friday my search engine of choice was Google UK yesterday the home page had changed to Google Cyprus.

After running an antivrus scan and CC Cleaner I have been into the control panel and checked that my home page is set to Google.co.uk clicked apply and OK but still the home page shows Google Cyprus.

Anybody got any suggestions as to how I change it back?

Mine changes between the 2 which doesn't bother me and I just leave it as it is.

In firefox on my laptop At the top of the page I click... Tools.... Options ... And against 'when firefox starts, I have 'show my homepage' On the next line down against ' homepage' I have https://www.google.co.uk

This seems to work OK for me

Thanks Trev, you gave me a clue as to how to fix it.

I went to settings, advanced settings then reset and I am now back on Google UK. No need to adjust the settings on my tablet and phone. All are back in sync.
