Strange WiFi problem...

This has happened twice - last night and tonight. As soon as we switch on the TV (running NPTV) the connection to the laptop disappears - no connection. As soon as the TV is switched off the connection reappears on the Laptop.
Is there anything I may have inadvertently done?
Is there anything I should be doing?
Or does my Laptop need to go to Hospital?
