Take your pick, they are all much of a muchness, but beware of the 'cheap' stuff, it's not worth it in the long run 'cos you need to use more of it, and I don't believe you get the same protection.
I've always used Shipshape down by the Viafos traffic lights. They give a loyalty discount too!

But only on what they want to offload at the time, which might not be what you need.

Why not try that place in the Stephanie area of Tala?

They seem helpful folks there.

Well we have quite a large pool. We bought good quality Chlorine for €28 and it has lasted us 9 months. Add on to that if you need acid or sulphur( PH + and - I think) and algicide and if you keep it free from rubbish on a daily basis I reckon that you are only looking at about €60 - €70 per annum

I would have thought double that, but I have never kept a list. It is the small things like test kit fluids, flocculants, scum line cleaner & algaecide that really add up. Essential spares like skimmer baskets and O rings are ridiculously expensive. Pools are like boats - money pits. :lol:

a REALLY good way to work out chlorine is this... (off the side of a tub of tri-chlor multi-tabs!)
"one tablet per 10 tonnes of water per ten days"...

so if your pool is 8m x 4m it's approximately 40 tonnes of water,
so that's
4 tablets every ten days, or 12 per month...

Hi the golden hi-lux;
Have you actually used this amount of tablets & tested the chlorine level resulting?
Knowledge is power; fortunately I'm not ambitious!

we've done more than 25 THOUSAND pool-cleans in Cyprus, for which we do keep records of chemical additions, and yes, 8m x 4m pools do indeed average 12 tabs a month for normal usage as long as the stabiliser level is kept under control.

A big thank you to JB. We went to Tala and found the pool supplies shop ( think its called Macks ) next to Olivers Deli, we found the chemicals there cheaper than the shop we have been using for the past 4 years. Also, they are really helpful and managed to get us a part for our pool valve which we had struggled to get. So once again thank you JB as we didn't know it was there. :ymapplause:
