Harley Davidson Club Cyprus,ride to Kannaviou part one

Welcome to "Motorcycle ride Cyprus" and part one of our ride to Kannaviou with the Harley Davidson Club of Cyprus.
We start our ride in the center of Paphos where we are meeting someone to ride with them to Limassol to join the
Harley Club for their ride but the road is closed and there doesn't seem to be access! We then jump to Limassol and
meet the Harley Club of Cyprus and start our ride on the B8 riding through Pano Polemidia and take a right down the
E819 through the village of Korfi and out into the mountains heading to the Troodos.

I enjoy watching the videos although I don't generally have my speakers running..... it's a long time since I was up the Korfi road (last would have been either late 2004 or early 2005) when I was taking photos of a property there for the estate agency I was working for at the time. So it was good to see it again. I don't think we've ever been to Kannaviou so will keep an eye open for the rest of the route.

It's a long time since I was last on a motorbike
An old boyfriend of mine had them and started out with little Gilera motorbike then on to a 250 Suzuki but with a few upgrades in between we ended up eventually with a Kwak Z1R and used to ride around Ramsbottom and the Bury area quite a lot, with runs out to Rivington Barn on Sundays where all the bikers used to meet up.

That was in the early 80s but last ride was in the south of France whilst on a girlie holiday (maybe mid 80s) when I went from Juan les Pins to Antibes one night on the back of a bike with some French bloke called Luke that I'd met in a club!

Those were the days of being young and carefree when there wasn't that much badness going on in the world and most people were generally "okay".

I caught the inside of my ankle on the exhaust pipe on that ride and it made a right mess - I only had shorts and sandals on at the time and I still have the white mark there that doesn't quite tan to this day. Had to travel back by train and boat with it smothered in petroleum bandage and my mother went crackers when she saw it.

When we were in Larnaca for Oxi Day 2014 I found this yellow Harley outside a tattoo shop (not far from St Lazarus church) - have you come across it on your travels?

As we ride further on the views become more spectacular and as you can see I have a hard time keeping up
with these guys!
I also know Rivington barn quite well and often went there on a Sunday or Bank Holiday Monday for a rideout.
this would have been in the 90's.
we used to ride through Maghull, Ormskirk over Parbold Hill and on to Rivington.
Kawasaki Z1R awesome bike, owned many Kawasaki's love them!
An ex girlfriend of mine also did the same burning the inside of her leg on the exhaust after insisting on wearing a
very short pair of pants!
I have not come across that beautiful Harley yet with the springer front end, lovely bike, looks like it has a good few
modifications, the oil cooler, seat, handlebars and I suspect the whole front end, forks, wheels, brakes, headlight etc, nice!
