Air Con - Is This Right ?

We have our air conditioning units on heat.

Although we set the thermostat at 24 or 25 degrees it seems to throw out cooler air once it has reached the correct temperature !!

Is this correct ?? The cooler air is somewhat annoying even though it will be only for a short while before throwing out the heated air.

Maybe we are setting it wrongly ?? It seems strange that it is cooling it down only to heat the room up again !!

Have you got the controller set on Auto ...... on this setting the a/c will shut off once it reaches the set temperature & will then restart once the temp falls below approx 1 degree from what you have set?

I think that it feels cold at first because its pushing the cool air in the room, it then starts to dry up the moisture in the air, after that you start to feel the benefits of it.
