Hi,

can anyone suggest a good place and time to buy "substantial" fireworks from for new year´s eve?

Thanks

You cannot buy them as they are not permitted in Cyprus. The only people who can have them are licensed firework operators at organised displays.

Thanks, Brenmar,

in a way I am surprised. Thought I had often seen fireworks going off in Paphos.
Some might have been from at hotels but others looked way too small for that....

Thanks anyway

You can buy small fireworks from kiosks and the like and some people smuggle bigger ones in, but if you are caught you will be prosecuted!

They're illegal unless you're a licensed firework company so forget it!

The one great thing that Cyprus has done correctly, in my opinion...

The ban on fireworks unless for a public display or by an official body :-bd
