If the photo is actual size then yes, worry! ;)

Seriously though I believe it is a green huntsman spider.

Spiders apparently, are seriously scary - this guy says so:

But actually, I'm not scared of them - just wondering if it will do my dog any harm if he decides to eat it.... I don't like to kill anything really, except cockroaches! I leave that to the dog :ymhug:

Nice picture. If it was our kitchen I would scoop it up into a jar or similar container, and transport it out to the countryside and release it.

This one was even hairier ...

Note the regular spider next to it - I think it just had a sparrow for breakfast.

No - it's a European tarantula. Quite common, especially around November when they go looking for mates

No, honestly not, just zoomed in ... - but it must have been the biggest one that we found inside the house to date. I am still wondering how they get in. The small(er) ones often try to get in under/between the French windows despite all the spraying I do before leaving the house (we then occasionally find one stuck/dried up 8-x ) but this monster definitely could not have gotten through any gaps or cracks!

Lofos-5, didn't you know?

They wait until they see you leaving the house and then they scuttle through the door whilst you're not looking :D

Our back door is always open - except when we go to bed but never had a tarantula inside.... yet!

Insect sprays do not affect spiders, beyond perhaps making them cough. You need special products to deal with them. They are very common here in Kissonerga and we never leave windows open that are not 'protected' with fly screens. The bodies of some of these spiders are as large as my thumb, yet still we get two or three in the house a year. I still haven't figured how they get in. It is not as though they are difficult to miss if they wander through the door!
