CyprusLiving closure.

Postby Jim » 26 Dec 2016 07:37

Good morning all..

I am very sad to announce the closure of CyprusLiving, it was a very difficult decision on my part, but in a week or so I will be 70 and CL is time consuming, I do wish to personally thank all those who have helped run sections on the site over the years, fifteen years of postings by you the members who have been with us over that time.

I'm sure many of you use other forums as I do so you will find any information on Paphos there. I will use Steve's site for the odd time I will be posting.

We cannot thank everyone individually but you know we are more than grateful for your help over the time.

Please take any information from CL that you wish to keep, the site will remain open for a week or so.

The webcams (IP cameras) we are looking to keep, and will be hosted by Digby of Holitec, I will post the link here as soon as I have it.

So until we meet again god bless you all and thanks for the happy times.

Jim & Baz.

Cyprus living closure.... a suggestion!

Postby Top Cat 007 » 26 Dec 2016 12:33

It is indeed very sad news to hear of the impending closure of CL and I'd echo all the appreciative comments with regard to Jim's stirling work over the years. Just a thought about trying to keep the site up and running .... could the day to day operation of the site be "out sourced" to a tech' services business ? Maybe for a small monthly fee ?? Expect there would be various implications of such a move but just thought I'd mention it .... !

Cyprus Living is by far the best source of information for the Paphos region and it would be great if it could carry on. The forum is well presented and easy to navigate and a mine of information as well as being a community - will miss some of the characters on here!
