On-;ine UK Passport application/renewal

Postby Mike Strand » 25 Nov 2016 20:51

I don't know if this has been posted before, but it now appears that UK Passport applications/renewals can be done on-line. You still have to send your old passport back and of course you will receive the new one by post also.

The on-line application has been there for some time and is really straightforward to use.

I fail to see why people still give money to "agents" to complete passport applications for them when you can do it this way much more quickly and for free!

Just renewed mine and it took only three weeks from sending away the passport to receiving by courier, the renewed one. Very simple and straight forward process!

Just renewed my passport online. So easy. Once you have filled in all the questions & paid online. Print the documents out, along with 2 photos & old passport. Then take to the courier by the courts. The courier will supply the envelope. They charge 20 euro. Received my new passport 18 days later:)

I sent mine registered post from Peyia Post Office. it cost €2.90 . I was able to track it online. It took 2 weeks altogether. It came back to the couriers by the court. The cost of this is already included in the passport fee.
