Please enlighten me. If I were to take some books in to the said shop they will swap them one for one or is there a charge? Thanks.

But how would they make money for Paphiakos if they swapped books one for one? My wife goes there from time to time, but alas she is in the UK at the moment, so I'm not exactly sure how the scheme works. But someone will be along shortly who does ;)

It is €3 to take out a book and you get a credit of €1.50 if you return it.
We don't take the credit, it is good value for the books and of course going to a very good cause.

I've been asked to post this information from someone who knows....
The shop is now open as follows due to acute staffing shortages -
Mon, Tues, Thur, Frid - 9.00 to 3.00
Wed, Sat - 9.00 to 1.00
Closed Sunday

Books are priced at €3, but a credit of €1.50 is given for books returned/exchanged. Only one credit may be used against each book taken out, otherwise, as has been pointed out, we would make nothing for the animals.

We also sell jigsaws, fresh farm eggs, preserves and home made pastries.

Since we opened in June 2011 we have raised over €50000 for the animals.

We thank each and every one of our customers for their continued support.
