Cryosurgery in Cyprus

Postby Minerva » 16 Dec 2016 17:03

Hi,
I have Morton's Neuromas [Metatarsalgia] on both feet soles. I have had surgery twice, injections and Acupuncture [which did work for a period] but the latest treatment appears to be Cryosurgery. I have tried to find someone in Cyprus who provides this surgery but to no avail. Does anyone know of anyone who carries this out anywhere in Cyprus. It is a very painful condition when walking and restricts much of my activities.

Any info would be appreciated. Ruth x

Ruth.

If you wish to pay for this treatment just go to any private hospital and ask to see an appropriate doctor or surgeon, if you wish to have this done at the General again you will need to see a GP first.

good luck

Minerva, a Google search (using the words "cryosurgery Cyprus") brought up a number of doctors in Cyprus who appear to specialise in this treatment, including this one: http://www.plasticsurgery4cyprus.com/page/en/120/cryotherapy Most of the doctors appear to be Limassol and Nicosia. If you do the same Google search you'll find them.

Thanks both,

I did do a search but the Cryotherapy is only for skin problems. My Neuromas[growths] are on my nerves in my feet going down to my toes - so require deeper treatment. I will, however, contact a Specialist Private Hospital/Clinic and make enquires. My previous surgery [twice on both feet] was carried out by an Orthopaedic Surgeon. maybe have to find someone who can do Acupunture as that gave me relief for a few weeks.
Thanks once again x

May I suggest you speak to Elizabeth Dooley ( 99117003)? She's a very experienced Podiatrist & Chiropodist who will know the best person to do this for you. I too have Mortons Neuroma in some of my toe joints (a complication of my MS!), but was unaware it could be on the soles of your feet aswell - ouch, poor you!
