Morning,
I have a Blackberry mobile phone and the trackball doesn't want to play. Can anyone recommend a suitable technician to investigate and repair?

Give Tommy a call, but usually late in the afternoon ..ask for an estimate, he is though very reasonable.
His office is just off the lower Polis road, not far from Costas tyre shop going downhill on the right hand side.

Thanks Jim, somehow or other the trackball started working again the following day but I will note Tommy's number for the next time it happens.

When any make of Smartphone "plays up" the first action should be to reboot or completely turn off and then turn on the phone. That often solves simple problems.

Agreed and I tried that several times on the day but to no effect. I also googled it as one does and found a very useful you tube video which showed how to get at and clean the trackball and casing of dust etc. which it seems is the usual problem. Not having the requisite tools, eyesight, patience & steady hands I still think I may call Tommy at some time in the future.
