Another nail in the AKamas coffin with the Neo Chorio bypass

Postby CRITCH435 » 15 Nov 2016 22:55

Anyone know the route of this bypass, can't believe they are so keen to spoil this beautiful area tobuild more houses that will be left half built and an eyesore

:(

Sorry forgot to mention. The new Neo Chorio bypass. Gives the green light to move on the Akamas so they will now get big plant up there Amazing that tax payers fund a bypass to allow developers to ruin the Akamas
Such a shame

I would have thought the terrain was unsuitable for a bypass but hey who knows

According to what I read in the Cy Mail today, this road will bypass the village of Neo Chorio with all its narrow streets. The new road will be 1 km in length. It will be much easier to get up to Smidgies than it is at present. I very much hope that it isn't going to be used mainly by developers. But I also remember reading that a new big quarry was being opened between Neo Chorio and Androlikou.... unfortunately.

I am a bit confused. I have read the report in the Cyprus Mail and I cannot see any mention of half built, eyesore houses. Maybe I am reading it wrong.

William,
Maybe Critch was just trying to spread alarm and despondency! I hope so anyway!

Not trying to spread despondency at all
Take a drive up to Neo Chorio or to Aphrodites rock and see all the half built houses around
I just think it's a shame to build on this area as well
There are enough partly built estates to finish and sell first
Seems sensible to me

Half built houses at Aphrodities Rock? Where? I haven't seen any!

I think it was meant to be Aphrodities Baths.

Critch,

I have just spotted where your Cyprus residence is. Enough said.
