Apparently it has reopened, and is being run by the people who briefly had Georgie Porgy's and then Sundowners, can't remember their names though sorry.

I too went past during the daytime on Monday. There is a sign up to say that they have now reopened, and there is a menu outside. They are closed on Mondays, but the do Sunday lunch as well as evening meals.

Our Poolman and his partner went on Sunday and he said that it was the best Sunday Lunch they had tasted in years.
Extremely generous portions.
Starters, Main Meals and carafe of wine for approximately €28.

Hopefully we'll be trying it for ourselves very soon.

I always say you have to try a place to see if it's " your cup of tea" . Well some of our group had clean plates, some of us certainly did not. Service was pretty shambolic, some of us were still waiting for food while the rest had nearly finished. So ..... we tried it ....... But won't be returning.

If we have a current phone number it'll be in the index, calling them may be better.

We have eaten Sunday lunch at the Stroumpi Tavern a few times and it has always been absolutely lovely.
Generous portions and vegetable cooked just right....not boiled to a mush like in some places.
Well done Shirley and Keith, keep up the good work. :D

I'm sure we will find out, strange that these people haven't succeeded in their 2 previous ventures either!

Well at least the Tavern was only rented by them, so they will not have ploughed a load of money into buying a building.

As far as I know the reason they have closed the Stroumbi Tavern is that like other establishments business had dropped off considerably. Pickles as you are well aware things for restaurants etc., are not good so it has nothing to do with failing in their last business ventures!!!!
We used to use it on a regular basis and the food as always very good and reasonable.
