Starts tonight and continues, with a short Christmas break, until 3 January 2016. The prize fund is 1,500,000 GBP. A few years ago the prize fund for this Tournament was 50,000 GBP, but the PDC has got its act together and marketed the product properly. The World No 1, Michael van Gerwen has earned c1,200,000 so far this year. Being shown on Sky Sports Darts Channel.
No-one from Paphos is playing in the tournament this year.

Not a bad payday for the players, £300k for the winner, £150k for the runner-up. 66,000 tickets sold, every performance sold out.
Not a spectacular game but kept us up till 1130pm nevertheless.
