Today's Catch

Postby juliesewell » 30 Aug 2015 21:36

My favourite "catch" of the day today, down at Lady's Mile Beach......

Oh, and the tornado's coming in to land at RAF Akrotiri - a bit sick though that I didn't have my zoom lens with me :(

For these, I recommend you click through the images and check them out on my Flickr account (you can zoom on the image once there)

There was a lot of activity at the airfield today, big planes coming and going during the 3 hours we were down there as well as these guys giving us something to watch. They came in fast and low, both side by side - then split off in opposite directions before heading back out over the sea and coming in to land. At least it gave me a chance to dig my camera out from the bottom of the beach bag where I'd stored it!!!

And today, we had our biggest "umbrella camp" of the summer - 5 brollys!

What dirty looking sand, not like the beach in Limassol.

The very same, Monty.....
We all remarked how far out the sea went during the time we were there yesterday. It was a bit lower than normal when we arrived but after a couple of hours, those stones were completely uncovered. I guess we have to blame that full moon for something.

We only had a light wind yesterday and it was very pleasant to be at the beach in the late afternoon. I don't think any of us wanted to come home.
