Remember this from a couple of months or so back?
Yep some great photos Jules :-bd OK you only managed to capture 6 of the Reds.

Today I managed to "shoot" them all :D

It was the first day of the Blackpool Airshow (Sunday 7 August) but I had to go to the hospital with my Dad and Mum for an appointment with his specialist at Blackpool Victoria Hospital at 1pm and the show was due to start at 2pm. We had to go back to Stalmine where hubby picked me up and we decided as it was terribly windy, we would head to Cleveleys instead.

There was a beach clean up in progress at Rossall Beach near "Mary's Shell" not far from the Coastguard station but not a lot of people knew that the RAF Red Arrows had said they would try and do a fly past for the guys picking up the litter. The RAF were the finale for the day and due to appear at 4pm over Blackpool prom but I got them all together heading our way down the beach from Rossall.

Finally, I'm a happy bunny!

The Route - that River Wyre has seen me a few times today!

And here they come - the Red Arrows:
I think those seagulls had some very grand designs when they saw these boys on their way towards them...

Hiya, and thank you!

It was the windiest day we've known since we came back and I had to wedge myself against one of the pillars on the promenade there to stop me being blown over. I wasn't even sure any of the photos wouldn't be blurry as I was struggling to keep my camera still.

It was very overcast at the start of the day and we weren't certain that all of the display would take place. It did start to clear up just before the start of the airshow but it got much better as the day went on. However, the wind didn't drop and last night it was howling a gale and driving rain was hammering on the conservatory and carport roofs like bullets.

This morning it absolutely peed it down and it's been sun and showers for most of the day.

I had a little bit of good luck today too! Found out I've managed to win 2 places to the Blackpool Illuminations Switch On at the start of September: http://www.visitblackpool.com/whats-on/switchon/
