Hi all,
Anyone out there have any recommendations on replacing our pool sand filter? I realise this may be viewed as drastic action but our pool installer used a Jazzi filter (Chinese) and the 6 way leaks badly (through the centre pivot) and the drain plug sheared off, anyway a totally crap filter in my opinion with the only importer of this make, stopping imports so cannot get a new 6 way even if I repaired the drain plug.
Any thoughts on price, supplier etc, the pool is an 8x4 to about 52 tonnes of water.
Whilst here, I saw an article about a glass media for the filter instead of sand, any thoughts?

We have just taken on H2Owen to look after our complex pool.
He has quoted us for sand replacement, but having discussed it with him we have decided that 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'

He did however suggest that *if* were to do it, then the glass job was better and not much dearer.
