WPA2 with cytanet ?

Postby billyblue » 01 Aug 2012 06:29

Can anyone tell me if they use Cytanet and have got a router with WPA2 security.

I went to see them yesterday and told them I want to update to a better router because I have only got upto WPA and dose not matter how many times I change my code people are still using my signal. They told me I have the latest 1, I have it for 4 years now, I told them I will cancell my contract if they have a better model and don't let me have 1, they did not seem bothered.

I brought a router from UK with WPA2 and tried to install it but for some reason it won't work. Cytanet won't let it work.

Any help please Billy

Try this Billy.

Install your new router into your PC or laptop. Hardwire it into your CYTA router to get onto their network. Set your new router up with a new network name and password (WPA2 or WPA PSK). Once sorted make sure your new router is still connected to the CYTA router via cable. Turn wireless OFF on your CYTA router and you should be sorted.
