Absolutely! Innocent until proven guilty. Anyway, how come it has taken 42 years to arrest him?
Sounds a bit fishy to me - on the BBC today it was being suggested there was a Political motive behind
his arrest, being Election time in Eire, where he is up for re-election. Like Cyprus it just drags on with
no light at the end of the tunnel in sight.

My question---was he aware of this dreadful murder ? His position and involvement with the so-called "army" says yes. Will his pal Martin be called in ? Mossy99 :?: :?:

I've got no time for any of the Murdering groups be it IRA/UVF etc etc, but while the Government is about it shouldn't Tony Blair have his collar felt for war crimes!!!

Jim, as Adams himself is a politician isn't the posting political anyway?

Yes I have no problem with the Adams comment only the one about Blair being a war criminal, a really stupid comment by the member, and I really will not stand for this sort of thing..Jim

Totally agree with Hudswell's comments, and if sex attackers can be brought to justice years after the events, why not Adams, and maybe his mate Martin.

Adams and McGuiness were leaders within the IRA.People have short memories of what happened in N.Ireland and mainland UK.I felt physically sick when I saw pictures of Kinnock,Blair and then the Queen shaking hands with these two murderers.
I done two tours of N.Ireland (Belfast) in the height of the troubles and believe me from people in the know, these two are scumbags.
On demob, two months later,Tavern in the Town and the Mulberry Bush in Brum (my home city) were bombed, many young lives were lost, for what?Nobody has been bought to justice for this.
My blood boils at just the mention of these two!Innocent until proven guilty Alan?Tell that to the parents of those youngsters who were targeted by the IRA headed by Adams and McGuinness in those pub bombings!

Got it in one, tonee! As you say, people have short memories. Hope this individual gets his just desserts, though I somehow doubt he will.

Most likely in the confines of " The Good Friday Agreement " they will walk free. See paragraph 17 section 2 subsection 13 line 44 amended by clause 3 . Time to move on and forget the past ? Don"t think so !!! Tell the survivors of the Omagh bombing that !!! Justice must seen to be done--- no deviations ! Mossy99 .

Like tonee, I too, was a member of UK Armed Forces during the IRA conflict and have no sympathy with their cause whatsoever. However, to condemn Mr Adams before he has even been charged with an offence only lowers us to their level and we British are above that.

He was arrested as a result of the Police Service of Northern Ireland obtaining recorded interviews with two former IRA members by the University of Boston in USA both alleging his involvement in the murder of Mrs McConville in 1972.

I apologise to anyone I may have inadvertently offended by my posting, let's let matters take their due course.
